Terms of service

Effective date: 2026-07-15

These terms govern use of Tessera — the hosted platform at www.staging.tessera.zone and its subdomains (console, APIs, documentation) — operated by MANTIKA ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these terms. If you use Tessera on behalf of an organization, you represent that you can bind that organization.

Enterprise customers with a signed agreement: that agreement supersedes these terms where the two conflict.

The service​

Tessera turns event-stream data you send us into per-entity embeddings, scores, and segments: ingestion APIs and connectors, schema contracts, dataset building, model training and evaluation, serving APIs, exports, and a web console. The documentation describes the service's current capabilities; features marked as unavailable or upcoming are not part of the service until released.

Accounts and acceptable use​

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials (passwords, API keys) confidential. Actions taken with your credentials are your responsibility; API keys are shown once and stored hashed.
  • You may not: attempt to access other tenants' data; probe, disrupt, or overload the service other than through documented interfaces and within your plan's limits; use the service to process data you have no right to process; or resell the service without an agreement with us.
  • We may suspend access that endangers the platform or other customers, breaches these terms, or is required by law — narrowly and, where practicable, with notice.

Your data​

  • You own your data. Events, schemas, labels, models trained on your data, and the outputs served from them are yours. We process them only to provide and operate the service, as described in the privacy policy and security & data handling pages.
  • You are responsible for having a lawful basis for the data you send — including any notice or consent your own users require.
  • Deletion works as documented in data deletion: project purge and entity-level deletion, with the retention windows stated there and in your plan.

Plans, billing, and changes​

  • Plan features, quotas, rate limits, and prices are the published ones at pricing page, rendered from the same plan catalog and rate card the billing system uses. Usage-based charges are metered and billed monthly; compute is passed through at infrastructure cost as published.
  • Unit prices may be adjusted before general availability; published changes apply from the next billing period. Enterprise pricing is by contract.
  • Free-plan usage beyond included allowances is capped, not billed.

Availability and support​

The service is provided without a general uptime guarantee; current and historical status is published on the status page. Service-level agreements and priority support exist only where an enterprise contract says so. Support expectations per plan are listed on the pricing page.

Intellectual property​

We retain all rights in the platform software, documentation, and branding. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while these terms are in effect. Feedback you choose to send us may be used to improve the service without obligation.

Disclaimer and liability​

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law: we disclaim implied warranties (including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement); we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, revenue, or data; and our aggregate liability under these terms is limited to the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Model outputs are predictions, not guarantees — decisions you make on them are yours.

Termination​

You may stop using the service and delete your projects at any time. We may terminate accounts that materially breach these terms after notice (except where immediate suspension is justified under acceptable use). On termination, data deletion follows the documented deletion process.

Changes to these terms​

We may update these terms; material changes are announced in the changelog before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance of the updated terms.
