GET /slots/{slot}/alert-episodes
List a slot's alert episodes
Entity alert episodes (https://spec.tessera.dev/schemas/alert_episode.json), newest first by opened_at, filterable by rule and status before cursor pagination (003 §1). Each carries its immutable opening snapshot and latest disposition. Requires the read scope; a foreign slot or rule filter is 404 not_found (003 §3).

slot | path | yes | string | Deployment slot reference: the slot id (slot_ ULID, 002 §1) or the per-project-unique slot name (002 §9 — the stable API-addressable unit; names never contain _, so the two forms are disjoint). A slot belonging to another project or environment is indistinguishable from a missing one (404 not_found, 003 §3). |
cursor | query | no | string | Opaque pagination cursor from a previous response's next_cursor. |
limit | query | no | integer | Page size (cursor pagination, 003 §1). Maximum 200. |
rule_id | query | no | string | Restrict to one rule's episodes (a foreign or unknown rule is 404). |
status | query | no | string | Filter by episode status; omitted = all episodes. |
Pagination
Cursor pagination (003 §1): pass limit (max 200) and cursor; the
response is the pagination envelope — data plus next_cursor
(null on the last page).

POST /slots/{slot}/alert-episodes/{episode_id}:disposition
Record a disposition on an alert episode
Appends a triage judgment (WP-V13 req 8; :action per 003 §1): the disposition row and its alert.dispositioned audit row commit in ONE transaction (WP-A3 req 3), an open episode closes as dispositioned and publishes exactly one alert.resolved, and the latest judgment wins for the precision rollups. Dispositions are append-only — a later judgment on an already-closed episode is recorded (and audited) without a second close. When the rule carries a label_bridge, true_positive/false_positive emit one canonical label event (observed_at = the disposition time) routed by THE WP-C5 route_label_events; benign/duplicate emit nothing. Idempotency-Key replays the committed response for 24 h (003 §1). Requires the admin scope; a foreign episode is 404 not_found.

Idempotency-Key | header | no | string | Idempotency key accepted by all POSTs (003 §1): 24 h dedup window, keyed per project. POSTs that are reads (batchSlotScores, scoreSlotEvent, deriveSlotBands, validateSourceRawPreset, sampleSource, watchEventFeedHeads and the preview operations: previewSourceMapping, previewCatalogMapping, previewLabel, previewPatternLabel, previewMarker, previewDatasetEligibility, previewSlotAudience, previewSharedCheckpointImport, previewSlotAtlasInquiry) accept the key but never replay a stored response: a retry with the same key is executed again (and metered again) against current data. A stored response that names an entity is removed when that entity is erased. A key that already answered answers only a retry of the request that stored its response: the same caller, environment, operation, path, query, scoping headers and body (a JSON body by its content, a gzip body by its inflated content). The same key with any other request is 409 already_exists with details[0].reason idempotency_key_reused, and that request is not run. The window holds no in-flight marker: two first requests sent at once can both run. A body over 8 MiB (ingest: over its 5 MiB request limit) is run and its response is not stored. The ingest batch (POST /events) is the exception, except for an application's credentials: under a key that answered another batch it runs again, uncached, and its events' ids deduplicate them; so it does when its stored response cannot be checked. The operations that return a one-time secret store their response sealed: the stored copy opens only for the same key and credential, and one that cannot be opened is 409 idempotency_key_reused. While the server cannot check a stored response (it cannot read the key that checks it, for one), the request is 503 unavailable with Retry-After: retry with the same key. POST /slots/{slot}/alert-rules
Create an alert rule
Creates a rule as data (WP-V13 req 4): predicate must be a document in THE WP-V9 predicate grammar (https://spec.tessera.dev/schemas/predicate.json), validated deny-by-default by THE tessera_core.predicates validator — unknown fields, ops or selects and structural-limit violations are 400 invalid_argument. The per-slot ACTIVE-rule cap is configuration data (default 64): creating an active rule beyond it is 400 failed_precondition (reason alert_rule_limit_reached). label_bridge.label_id must name an active binary label_events label definition of the slot's entity type (else 400 invalid_argument). If the predicate validator is unavailable on the deployment, creation is refused with 400 failed_precondition (reason predicate_evaluator_unavailable) — never stored unvalidated. Requires the admin scope; the server mints the arl_ id. Paused rules stop matching within one rule-set cache TTL (<= 30 s).

POST /slots/{slot}/alert-rules:install-went-quiet
Install the packaged went-quiet alert rule
Installs the packaged entity.went_quiet rule on the slot as data (WP-V13 req 7; alert_rule.json $defs/install_went_quiet): an ordinary alert rule (same episodes, sweep, dispositions and precision rollups) whose emits is entity.went_quiet and whose predicate selects WP-V14's quiet-state fields — without threshold_seconds it matches any configured silence-threshold crossing, with it crossings of at least that many seconds. Writes without quiet-state fields (observation time off, or silence below the smallest configured threshold) never match. A slot holds at most one live packaged rule: a second install is 409 already_exists (PATCH or delete the existing one). slot | path | yes | string | Deployment slot reference: the slot id (slot_ ULID, 002 §1) or the per-project-unique slot name (002 §9 — the stable API-addressable unit; names never contain _, so the two forms are disjoint). A slot belonging to another project or environment is indistinguishable from a missing one (404 not_found, 003 §3). |
Responses
| Status | Schema | Description |

200 | BandBindings | The slot's band bindings. |
default | ErrorEnvelope | Error response (003 §1). Every non-2xx response uses this envelope; the HTTP status matches error.code. Rate-limited requests get 429 resource_exhausted with retry_after_seconds and a Retry-After header; the X-RateLimit-* headers ride on EVERY response, success or error (003 §1; plan-driven per API key + endpoint class — WP-B2). A 503 unavailable carries retry_after_seconds too for a lock-wait timeout (SQLSTATE 55P03), a rule preview at capacity (preview_capacity_exhausted), or a label preview during which the erasure of every entity holding its censor clock began (label_preview_clock_entity_erased): how long to wait before retrying. |
PUT /slots/{slot}/bands
Replace a slot's band bindings
Replaces the whole binding set (an empty bindings array clears it; WP-V13 req 2). Each binding names a binary label head of the slot's active bundle and supplies the WP-M19 banding_policy.json document with its 002 §10 fingerprint: THE tessera_core.metrics.banding implementation validates the policy and computes the fingerprint, which must match. Unknown labels, duplicate labels, invalid policies and fingerprints that do not equal the policy's computed fingerprint are 400 invalid_argument. Bands are derived when emitted (episode snapshots, score.band_changed) by THE tessera_core.metrics.assign_band, never stored in entity_state. Concurrent replacements of one slot apply one after the other (the last writer's set wins whole). If the WP-M19 banding implementation is unavailable on the deployment, a non-empty binding set is refused with 400 failed_precondition (reason banding_unavailable). Requires the admin scope.

POST /slots/{slot}/bands:derive
Derive band values for served scores
A read-only batch derivation (WP-U21; :action per 003 §1, the scores:batch precedent): for each item, THE WP-M19 tessera_core.metrics.assign_band is applied under the slot's current band bindings (GET /slots/\{slot\}/bands) to the supplied binary label scores — the same function that derives episode snapshot and score.band_changed bands. Nothing is stored or audited, and nothing is computed by the caller: the console passes the scores a ranked read served and renders the bands returned. Each result echoes the item key and carries bands, keyed by bound label name; an item with no bound label among its scores (an unbound slot, an unbound or non-binary label) returns an empty bands object — never an invented band. If the WP-M19 banding implementation is unavailable on the deployment and the slot has bindings, 400 failed_precondition (reason banding_unavailable). At most 200 items per request; duplicate keys are 400 invalid_argument. Requires the read scope; a foreign or unknown slot is 404 not_found (003 §3). This operation adds no field to any existing response (the closed-schema rule, ERRATA ~457/506/516).

Idempotency
This operation never replays a stored response (003 §1): a retry
carrying the same Idempotency-Key runs again, against current data.

Errors
Every non-2xx response uses the 003 §1 error envelope; error.request_id
matches the X-Request-Id response header, and the HTTP status always
matches error.code:
{
"error": {
"code": "invalid_argument",
"details": [
{
"type": "field_violation"
}
],
"message": "human-readable",
"request_id": "req_01hxample"
}
}
Closed error-code set (003 §1): invalid_argument, unauthenticated, permission_denied, not_found, already_exists, failed_precondition, resource_exhausted, internal, unavailable.
resource_exhausted responses (HTTP 429) additionally carry
retry_after_seconds. See ErrorEnvelope.
