GET /event-datasets

List event dataset builds

Event dataset builds of the resolved project + environment (WP-M25 req 5), newest first (cursor pagination, 003 §1). listDatasets never returns them.

Rate-limited requests get 429 resource_exhausted with retry_after_seconds and a Retry-After header; the X-RateLimit-* headers ride on EVERY response, success or error (003 §1; plan-driven per API key + endpoint class — WP-B2). A 503 unavailable carries retry_after_seconds too for a lock-wait timeout (SQLSTATE 55P03), a rule preview at capacity (preview_capacity_exhausted), or a label preview during which the erasure of every entity holding its censor clock began (label_preview_clock_entity_erased): how long to wait before retrying.

POST /event-datasets

Start an event dataset build

Builds one row per canonical event (WP-M25 reqs 4–6): every event of event_types whose entity.type is entity_type and whose timestamp is inside time_range (inclusive bounds), in the pinned event-store snapshot (created and pinned when snapshot_id is omitted). Rows that repeat one event (the same event_id, entity, type and timestamp) collapse to the earliest received. Each row holds the event's own featurized fields (THE featurizer over THE ledger payload form; encoders and vocabularies fit on the train split only) and, per label, a target attached point-in-time at event granularity or a mask reason. Every label's event_types must be a subset of the build's (else 400 failed_precondition, label_event_types_not_covered); an archived label is 400 failed_precondition (label_archived). Pins the approved contract (none → 400 failed_precondition), the leakage policy and each label's label-store manifest, derives the content-addressed fingerprint and is idempotent on it like createDatasetBuild. A build matching more than max_events events fails typed (status: failed, error.code: event_dataset_too_large) before writing any artifact; nothing is sampled silently. Leakage violations abort the build fail-closed (aborted_leakage). Events ingested long after their timestamp are measured and flagged (warnings), or excluded with ingest_lag.action: exclude.

Parameters

NameInRequiredTypeDescription
Idempotency-KeyheadernostringIdempotency key accepted by all POSTs (003 §1): 24 h dedup window, keyed per project. POSTs that are reads (batchSlotScores, scoreSlotEvent, deriveSlotBands, validateSourceRawPreset, sampleSource, watchEventFeedHeads and the preview operations: previewSourceMapping, previewCatalogMapping, previewLabel, previewPatternLabel, previewMarker, previewDatasetEligibility, previewSlotAudience, previewSharedCheckpointImport, previewSlotAtlasInquiry) accept the key but never replay a stored response: a retry with the same key is executed again (and metered again) against current data. A stored response that names an entity is removed when that entity is erased. A key that already answered answers only a retry of the request that stored its response: the same caller, environment, operation, path, query, scoping headers and body (a JSON body by its content, a gzip body by its inflated content). The same key with any other request is 409 already_exists with details[0].reason idempotency_key_reused, and that request is not run. The window holds no in-flight marker: two first requests sent at once can both run. A response stored by a release before this rule cannot be matched to its request and is refused the same way until it expires; send the request again with a new key. A body over 8 MiB (ingest: over its 5 MiB request limit) is run and its response is not stored. The ingest batch (POST /events) is the exception, except for an application's credentials: under a key that answered another batch it runs again, uncached, and its events' ids deduplicate them; so it does when its stored response cannot be checked. The operations that return a one-time secret store their response sealed: the stored copy opens only for the same key and credential, and one that cannot be opened is 409 idempotency_key_reused. While the server cannot check a stored response (it cannot read the key that checks it, for one), the request is 503 unavailable with Retry-After: retry with the same key. An operation whose handler claims the key itself answers the same 503, before it runs, while the key-hash pepper cannot be read; any other request sent with a key runs meanwhile, and its response is not stored.

Idempotency

This operation accepts an Idempotency-Key header (003 §1): within 24 hours, keyed per project and caller, a retry of the same request gets the first response, and the same key with another request is 409 already_exists (idempotency_key_reused). See the Idempotency-Key parameter for the exceptions.

POST /event-labels

Declare an event label

Declares an event-level supervision target (WP-M25 reqs 2–4) whose observations come from a batch label table: each row names the canonical event it is about by source.event_id_column (the event's 002 §2 event_id). Rows ride the WP-C1 syncs of source.source_id, are parsed with the WP-C5 rules (future guard, backdating, typed rejections, plus label_event_id_missing) and are stored append-only; they never become canonical events. Only events whose type is in event_types ever take this label's targets. The name is unique across the project + environment's entity and event labels and is registered with the leakage-policy evaluator, so a same-named attribute is target_only. maturation_days (the label horizon, at least 1 day) is required. Task/classes incoherence or an opt-in negative without a guard is 400 invalid_argument; an unknown or non-batch source_id is 400 failed_precondition (label_source_not_found, label_source_not_batch); a taken name is 409 already_exists.

DELETE /event-labels/{label_id}

Archive an event label

Soft-archives the event label as deleteLabel does (WP-O4): sets status=archived and archived_at, hides it from the default list and excludes it from future event dataset builds (400 failed_precondition, label_archived). The append-only observation store is retained and keeps ingesting, builds that already pinned the label are unaffected, and the name stays reserved. POST /event-labels/\{label_id\}:restore un-archives it. Idempotent: re-archiving returns 204 without a duplicate audit event.

POST /event-models

Train an event model

Creates an event model (status: training) and launches its training run on the WP-M10 cpu-standard class (WP-M25 req 7): one deterministic model per label with the fixed event_gbm_v1 recipe, isotonic calibration of binary and multiclass outputs on the validation split, then the WP-M4 evaluation (req 8), after which the model is evaluated (or failed, with a typed training.error or evaluation_error). The dataset must be a succeeded event dataset build (else 400 failed_precondition); labels must be a subset of its labels. The designed hybrid recipe event_gbm_seq_v1 is 400 failed_precondition (recipe_not_available) until it is delivered. A training whose work (train + validation rows × columns × heads, where a multiclass label has one head per class) exceeds 500,000,000, or whose heads exceed 32, is 400 failed_precondition (event_model_too_large). So that every model admitted can be bundled and served, a training whose worst-case bundle the serving process could not load is 400 failed_precondition (bundle_exceeds_serving_memory, with estimate_mib and limit_mib in the details, as createEventModelBundle refuses it): the estimate takes the dataset's encoder set, feature spec and train and validation rows as built, and the recipe's largest label models (every label's trees for all 400 rounds at 127 leaves, each tree's text at its longest). Each training counts toward the plan's concurrent_training_runs. Idempotency is on (dataset fingerprint, recipe fingerprint, labels, seed): an identical request returns the existing model while it is training, evaluated or promoted; a failed, cancelled or archived one is superseded by a new model (a new mdl_ id and training) and is itself left unchanged. The two size refusals above apply to a new model only.

  • apiKey (http (bearer)) — Project API key (003 §2): tsk_live_… or tsk_test_… in Authorization: Bearer. Scoped to exactly one project + environment; scopes are a subset of ingest, read, admin. Keys are stored hashed and shown once at creation.
  • consoleSession (http (bearer)) — Console session (003 §2): Identity Platform JWT. Data-plane calls add X-Tessera-Project + X-Tessera-Environment headers, validated against org membership.

GET /event-models/{model_id}

Get an event model

One event model with its training run, its latest evaluation facts and the WP-M14 verdict (WP-M25 reqs 7–8). This is how a model_id from listMonitorGateFailures or the gate.failed and bundle.created webhooks resolves when it names an event model. A sequence model's id or another tenant's id returns 404 not_found (003 §3).

POST /event-models/{model_id}/bundles

Promote an event model into a bundle

Assembles the immutable, fingerprinted event-model bundle (WP-M25 req 9; https://spec.tessera.dev/schemas/event_model_bundle.json). Gate handling is the WP-M14 one: a failed blocking gate (G4 input parity, G5 and G6 by default) is 400 failed_precondition with typed details; failed advisory gates need acknowledge_gates covering exactly the failed set (strict mode refuses any acknowledgement) and are recorded in the manifest promotion block and a gate.override audit event. Records a bundle.create audit event, emits the existing bundle.created webhook (whose ids resolve through getEventModelBundle and getEventModel) and sets the model promoted. An unevaluated, cancelled or archived model is 400 failed_precondition. So is a bundle the serving process could not load within its memory share (bundle_exceeds_serving_memory, with estimate_mib and limit_mib in the details). The estimate is the peak of swapping the bundle in while the slot's previous bundle is still loaded: the serving process's own baseline and what its concurrent requests hold, the bundle's resident memory twice (from the encoder set's seen numeric attributes, the feature spec's columns and vocabulary entries, and the label models' trees and leaves) and its largest load transient (the encoder set's parse or the largest label model's text), each at its measured cost, against 90% of the serving container's 512 MiB.

GET /event-models/{model_id}/eval-report

Get an event model's evaluation report

The stored eval_report.json of the event model's latest evaluation (WP-M25 req 8), in the released WP-M4 shape: G1–G6 with G3 not_applicable (no entity embedding) and G4 the event input-parity check, per-label blocks whose bootstrap clusters events by entity, and the G6 drift baseline over test events. Cancel an event model's training

Cancels the event model's training as cancelRun does (003 §1 :action; WP-M25 req 7): a queued training flips to cancelled immediately; a running training gets a cancel marker that the trainer polls between training rounds, then stops and flips to cancelled. The Job is torn down either way, the plan's concurrent_training_runs slot is released, and the model becomes cancelled (terminal, never bundle-eligible). Every non-2xx response uses the 003 §1 error envelope; error.request_id matches the X-Request-Id response header, and the HTTP status always matches error.code:

"details": [

resource_exhausted responses (HTTP 429) additionally carry retry_after_seconds. See ErrorEnvelope.
